condensing uni into 5 min

is a freaking difficult task. so many things... so little time. not much response on facebook to help me think of THE word to sum up uni. joshua still very helpful say everything... omg. how to put down everything??!!!

cannot be like a lecture - god forbid me from writing a sleep inducing speech, cannot be too personal, and must "spice it up" with dunno what flavours?!! first time feel so clueless in thinking thru a speech. grrrrrrrrr. and it's gonna be the final final final speech i'm gonna make in NUS since i'm almost sure that i'll never do master/phd in NUS

first draft to submit on 9th june!!! but i'm ambitiously aiming to submit before i go. mission impossible.

i just hope that by the end of it all... prof tang won't regret choosing me over zongdeng. bleahs*

watching past year commencement videos to study other valedictorians' speech... watch 1hr... don't have... watch to 1.5hr, still don't have... finally go to find the order of events in the ceremony. lo and behold, the valedictorian speaks right at the end. zzz.

knowing that my idol (nicknamed Sherlock Holmes for wearing trench coats to sch and looking so seih in them) was last year's ISE valedictorian, I quickly searched for his ceremony to hear for the first time in my life him speak - nv gathered enuf guts to walk up to him and say hello, knowing how zai he is and all.

he begins speaking from 2:08:36 in the webcast here:

i kinda like his intro. no more fighting the z monsters. no more squinting at impossibly small writings on helpsheet. boosting sales at coffee stall in technoedge. healing from macs meals can finally begin. "we have finally graduated"

!!!

i would have applauded so damn loudly at the end of the intro if i was there la!~! freaky unsupportive batchmates he have. kenny kuek must clap loudly for me ok?!! :D erm that is if i can come up with anything quite original and worthy to clap for. hmm not worthy to clap also must clap. dun care!~

quite exciting. will get 4 VIP cards, just right for dad mum and 2 sisters. very glad to make my parents proud in the end... and giving my sis a seat as a VIP. we've always wanted to be sitting at the VIP table at ada's wedding BUT there was no VIP table so it was like a little dream dashed for us. so i'm quite glad to let hai feel like a VIP after all this year :)

seeing them all so happy for me makes me so happy and fuzzy all inside too.

-okay. i know i'm too easily satisfied. am i not??!
