Back to preparing this sunday's lesson... the old time favourite of David and Goliath. Reading this for the Nth time yet it gave me new reflections about man's intentions & perspectives.

Saul wanted to reward the man who hit Goliath down with great wealth and the marriage of his daughter. He just want to hit this giant down and win the battle against the Philistines. He was not concerned about how this giant is actually insulting his god... The people were so terrified and feeling small in front of the giant...
Yet David placed his faith in the God that delivered him from lion and bear, trusting that God will similarly deliver him from this giant. God did not fail him.
God will not fail me.
