do ants perceive only a 2d world?

yes
- small size. cannot think in 3d.
- they just move from planes to planes, ground to wall. just 2d. some wire experiment shows how ants can only move forward and backward not side to side.

implications of yes:
dimensions are just a matter of relative size? higher dimensions avail but we cannot perceive cos we are too small? i would wonder what are those.

no
- can fly. if cannot perceive 3d, how to fly?!
- their "homes" are 3d.

implications of no:
end of intellectual discussion. life goes on. we continue to drop rice on the floor. ants continue to attack rice on the floor.

our original discussion was abt ghosts and demons, triggered by (not scary) paranoma activity. gene had a rather interesting personal encounter. as a physics teacher, it's not really surprising that he would make this association. still trying to make sense/understand the whole situation. or do i even hv to try to seek a conclusion? we can perhaps just let it be.

i do believe there are demons. not so sure about ghosts. i dunno if demons get antagonized bcos we try to communicate with them (we think it's a concept injected by the movie) so i'm for throwing that out of the window. and no, i don't want to communicate with them. for what?!!
