YES~ it is a good movie. nv doubted that it won't be! everyone's raving abt it on fb anw. so there.
my heart was totally won over as that sweet love story unfold in the first few minutes... there must have been some very special bonding power in the spirit of adventure. the romantic tingle of destination: paradise falls must have got to me too.

so pretty right??? the orphan rock formation reminds me of blue mountains la! adds an interesting dimension to the landscape! :)
the whole thg abt falling in love with your best fren also got to me.. to me, it's very sweet how they had the same dreams and get on green patches look at clouds hahah. boy, i love that painting on the wall of paradise falls and their cute lil house beside it.
but it's very sad that they drop coins into that jar and hv to keep breaking it bcos of reality calls. punctured tyre, spoiled (?) legs,... then just going to work (represented by changing of colourful patterny ties!!!) very soon they were old and having difficulties going up a little hill. poor thg. they shud hv thot of just putting up a lot of balloons to make their house fly from the start. budget! woohs. hahaha.
the colour theme was totally pleasant too! balloons added refreshing flavour. how i love their translucency and i honestly thot the team put in a great job to do the translucency effect. they could have not done it, but they did. awed.
loved the symbolism of the objects. house. little episodes abt his persistence in keeping the house despite redevelopments all around and dumping furniture out to clear the load and let his house fly again were pretty interesting. 'my adventure book'. quite predictable tho tt his woman alr filled in the pages with photos of he and she. getting into the aircraft called 'spirit of adventure'. that's when the adventure began woohs~! wildlife survivor badges. good to look at but it's all about surviving out there man.

1. Why is the title design of 'UP' going down??? Been perplexed ever since i first saw the poster. After watching the movie... i dun feel quite enlightened. and because this is pixar, i believe that it's not some random thing. must hv some explanation... somebody enlighten me!
2. Does Paradise Falls exist? No? :( i was abt to put it into my itinerary to california~~ :( yar i admit i was hoping that it IS in california so that i can fit it in wahahhaha.
3. Why did Carl not want to help his idol clear his name??? instead, he was so sure from the start that he did not want russell to mention it and siam at the quickest opportunity possible. so weird! he want to protect the bird??super dun understand. but if he doesn't want to protect the bird, then no story already also la...

can't really rem Cars, but i hv a feeling it was a better show than Up actually. i still rem how the cars all came in to pave the roads... and something very real abt it really touched me~ quite sad that route 66 is no longer it.

there can be 2 ways of looking at the word UP in the poster, one can see it as facing upwards too. though the rest of the layout does make one have the perspective that the word UP is facing downwards. anyway i think it gives the feeling of looking down from above when in the house with balloons. it's a perspective which one can only have when one is flying in the air, as when you look up from below, to remind us that we are DOWN. haha...
shifu, do u mean the "up-ness" comes in the sense that the point of view is from up there, looking down from above? alamak i'm super dense abt this :(
yup, that's what i mean, and one can only have that point of view when one is up there, which doesn't happen very often for us haha...
ehhh.... mention something about Russell leh.... I'm his greatest fan leh.....
i've figured another way to look at it! it's like u r on the ground, and the word 'up' is pulling u up! just like the balloons pulling the house up, and pulling u right up through the clouds:)
brother if u didn't mention i wouldn't hv noticed how i left russell out! he's cute and provided a lot of point of giggles/laugh out louds! but hor i think all his cute points are in the trailers alr and what really impressed me was carl! will watch again tmr and maybe will hv diff feelings then blog again (maybe abt russell)
